WAHSA promotes best practices, safety standards and compliance within the industry, providing technical guidance, training and support to ensure the effective use of personal fall protection systems and equipment. Personal Fall Protection Equipment (PFPE) for Work at Height and Rescue is specifically designed equipment that is essential for ensuring the safety of individuals engaged in working at height or in potentially hazardous environments. This equipment serves several critical purposes:

1.      Fall Protection: PPE such as harnesses, lanyards, and anchor points are designed to prevent or mitigate falls from height, which is one of the most significant risks associated with work at height.

2.      Rescue Capabilities: Certain PPE, like rescue harnesses and evacuation devices, enable prompt and effective rescue operations in case of emergencies or accidents.
